BE MY DISTRACTION, HANDSOME

Don’t ask me who I am,
I won’t ask you  what you do.
Lets just go on a ride,
Around the world, me and you.

No don’t ask me my troubles,
Or from what am trying to run.
I won’t ask you your name,
Or from where your story begun.

In this maddening world of morose lights,
You are the one who intoxicates my heart.
Just look at your face, you look so good,
Want to write a story with me from the start?

We can go places, exotic and wild,
Taste fire in trembling ice,
I need a distraction right now baby,
And it’s you, yes you, who catches my eyes.

  1. “You are the one that intoxicates my heart”, “Want to write a story with me from the start”, amazingly romantic❤️🌹. Reminds me of a quote, “Don’t judge someone’s book by the chapter you walked in on”. I love the whole, no questions, no worries, just you and I attitude, each other’s distraction locking eyes and enjoying time. This was romantic with a capital R, just the getaway and to let the stars be their guide. Beautiful lines, no invitational distraction anyone would turn down lovely. Wonderful job, beautifully penned.🌹

    1. A very wise qote there. And, I haven’t really gone and invited anyone for this distraction😂 sometimes, words offer the freedom which we can’t really experience in our own life. So glad you liked, oops loved this poem
      thanks always🌹🌹💖

  2. No invitation, good😉😂. And I’m glad you like the quote. Words are freedom, they are the escape but also our tools to construct freedom or they can build a distraction that we may need😂😂. And yes, I “loved” it, there’s a difference. You’re so welcome.❤️🌹
